@fiannafail: 🚛 Keeping Ireland moving means keeping trucks on the road and passenger transport moving! For Hauliers and passenger transport, we are increasing the Diesel Rebate Scheme to 12c per litre (up from 7.5c), effective immediately and backdated to 1 January. This targeted, temporary €10 million measure runs until 30 June, helping hauliers and passenger transport operators keep vital goods on the road. When the haulage sector and passenger transport sectors are supported, supplies keep flowing, supermarkets stay stocked, and communities stay connected 📦🚌 Fianna Fáil is committed to supporting people through the fuel crisis.

Your committed to supporting your selves these emergency measures you’ve brought in are not enough. the small haulier, contractor bus company can’t survive paying the fuel bill now never mind having to pay it and claim it back… the DRS is fine but a lot of these smaller lads can’t foot the bill of the extra cost of fuel for that long they’ll be well out of business before they get the fuel rebate back in they’re accounts. Your all dreamers if you think you’ve done enough for the Irish people with this pathetic attempt to help the Irish people

This is honestly a disgrace. 5c per litre for the people who literally produce our food, and we’re expected to just accept it? It’s insulting. Do they actually realise where their food comes from, or how fragile that system really is? Farm contractors are the backbone of modern agriculture. They’re the ones cutting silage, harvesting crops, spreading fertiliser and slurry, keeping farms moving when time is tight and weather windows are short. Without contractors, a huge amount of work simply wouldn’t get done. Smaller farms rely on them completely, and even larger farms couldn’t keep up without them. Every litre of fuel goes straight into producing food. When fuel costs rise and support is this minimal, it directly threatens the ability to get work done on time, which impacts yields, quality, and ultimately the food on our shelves. In an unstable world, food security should be protected at all costs. You don’t bite the hand that feeds you… yet that’s exactly what’s happening.

so they were getting a rebate of 7.5 cent per litre now increased to 12 cent and back date to the first of January yet the farming Co.op pushed up the fertiliser saying it was the haulage companies that were charging extra to deliver it into their stores that was pushing up the fertiliser now these hauliers are getting 12 cents rebate backdated to 1st of January.. More rip of yet again to the farmer's
