I’m a student teacher. We talk about the Holocaust in a couple weeks. Apparently a lot of students at my school in the past believed the conspiracy theories. I hope this series continues quickly.

Not sure how to articulate this, but I learned about what happened during, then d-day, then hey it’s over, moving on to the next topic. Like what happened after? Was it still bad with a slow change toward progress or was there a more swift change in gov and in the general population? How did things move forward? I have no idea, we never covered that.

World's Defeat, a Book written in 1953 by Salvador Borrego ; not trying to diminish your work, but this book brings me a lot of questions about that time and the way you talk about that regime

Can you perhaps explain the conflict of memory within the two occupations framework? I’m not sure if that qualifies as denial ism but I think some use it to qualify certain actions taken during the war.

What’s the root cause of holocaust denialism today? The reasons that come to mind are a hatred of Jews and a belief that people aren’t capable of such a thing so it couldn’t have happened, but those feel like cop-outs bc they also apply to other historical atrocities that aren’t denied on the scale that the holocaust is. For example, I haven’t heard of many people denying slavery, even though some people hate African-Americans and others don’t think slavery could’ve been “that bad”. And although some people downplay slavery, they generally don’t outright deny it. Therefore, why is the holocaust different?
