Underrated phrase from "The Matrix" movie is: "Everyone that is still in the matrix becomes agent of it" 🤔 Have you noticed that when you awake suddenly it's everyone elses problem? Every friend, family member, even strangers are trying to convince you to follow the script.

While I'm appreciative of the overall positivity of this message, it does feel a bit dismissive of the experience that led to formation of the self-limiting beliefs. When trauma occurs, the belief system we form around it help to create coping mechanisms that help us to survive it. Once we are no longer in danger, those beliefs and coping mechanisms no longer serve their initial purpose and it is at this stage that they become a self-limiting belief. Develop the skillset that helps to directly address the trauma and then these self-limiting beliefs automatically start fade away. Changing the script alone doesn't work.

But what about when people literally tell you about yourself? Because I have lost my identity to everyone else’s perception of me.

Once I managed to step out of the storm and become an observer, I could finally see myself in it. My perspective on my self, my life, the storm itself, and the shadows within, all of it shifted.
