90% of the worlds problems can be solved by keeping your hands up by your head. If you're not striking, keep em up by your ears. Let your legs take care of the kicks, either dodge, check, or jump inside.

Went to a new kickboxing class, blocked a round kick from one of their brown belts with my shin as I'd been taught only to see dude welling up and him asking 'why'd you do that' like IDK it clearly worked 😅

The issue is old school sparring arts tend to teach downward blocks and haven’t evolved to using shin kicks so double round kicks and head kicks as well as back knuckles after to the head land way too easy
