Slow cinema doesn’t necessarily mean boring by the way, watch any Nuri Bilge Ceylan film or Masaki Kobayashi film. You certainly won’t be bored for a second despite the length.

Though these two aren't considered slow cinema, I think they are excellent entry points: Drive My Car from Hamaguchi and Angel's Egg from Oshii. Drive My Car is long and slow paced, but it still has a plot that moves forward. Angel's Egg is slow and very light on plot, though very heavy on symbolism and has a short run time.

I watched "Sátántangó" at the cinema some weeks ago and it was absolutely fantastic! Interestingly enough it didn't even feel slow after some time because I got so used to its rhythm

My favourite genre of film. As director Apichatpong Weerasethakul says “I used to fall asleep at [taiwanese new cinema directors] films and now audiences fall asleep to mine.” Like i adore it so bad give me a film that’s 4 hours where nothing happens

I'm used to watch Action Scifi which have more cuts and sci Fi things. even music giving bumps. And after two years I tried slow ones. after trying slow ones I feel less anger and more happier. It's hard at first, nothing happens in 10 minutes or 20 minutes. like Manchester by the sea. and when the halftime hits you are just planted on to the seat.
