*QURANIC PROOF for when is Laylat Al-Qadar? [97:5]* When is Laylat al-Qadr? Here's an interesting proof hidden within the Quran that might tell you the answer! For those who don’t know; Laylat Al-Qadar is the greatest night of the year, worth over 1000 months of worship! There’s an interesting narration documented by Imam Razi in his tafsir from Sayyiduna Abdullah Ibn Abbas, the cousin of the Prophet ﷺ. Ibn Abbas was infamous for his interpretation of the Qur'an, as the Prophet ﷺ famously made dua for him to be granted the depth of its understanding. He narrates an explanation for when laylat al-qadar might be, and it’s one you can validate yourself. He narrates something most of us never do. He didn't just read Surah al-Qadr. He didn't just memorise it. He counted it. Imam al-Razi records it in his tafsir. And he's honest about it. These aren't proofs. They're hints. But look how closely they read the Quran. Ibn Abbas outlines several numerical hints for why laylat al-qadar might be the 27th night: 1️⃣ The word "it" Surah al-Qadr has 30 words. Like the 30 nights of Ramadan. The last verse says: سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ "Peace it is, until the rising of the dawn." That word, هِيَ, "it", falls on number 27. With “it” (هِيَ) pointing to this blessed night 2️⃣ The name itself لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ, Laylat al-Qadr, is written with 9 letters. The surah says it 3 times. 9 × 3 = 27. 3️⃣ The number 7 The Prophet ﷺ said Allah ﷻ is Witr, One, and loves what is an odd number. Ibn Abbas went further. Of all the odd numbers, the number 7 keeps coming back: 7 heavens. 7 earths. 7 days in a week. 7 circuits around the Kaʿbah. 7 walks between Safa and Marwah. 7 parts of the body that touch the ground in sujud. So which of the last ten nights carries a 7? The 27th. 4️⃣ the word الْقَدْرِ This is one I found myself, and it holds. Look at where the word الْقَدْرِ sits in the surah. It's word 5. Then word 10. Then word 12. 5 + 10 + 12 = 27. So does this prove the Night is the 27th? No. And the scholars never said it did. Allah ﷻ has kept it hidden as a blessing for us, so we can seek the real treasure on these nights; Allah ﷻ. So why share it with you? To demonstrate how the companions engaged with the Quran. They didn't just read the Qur'an. They searched it. Word by word. Letter by letter. Taking meaning wherever they found it Not attributing certainty to reflections, but validating observable facts they found within it. Looking for meaning in places most of us skim straight past. That same tradition is why we started this series. We don't interpret Allah's words ourselves. We take that from the scholars. But we reflect on what they said, and ask how it speaks to our lives. And Allah ﷻ knows best. Please remember us in your duʿās on these blessed nights. May Allah ﷻ let you witness Laylat al-Qadr. Save this video, and come back to it in Ramadan.
