@thebritspot: The finished map has become a tribute to the women who helped start it but sadly didn’t live to see it completed 👏❤️ A group of 18 women from County Wicklow, Ireland, spent four years knitting and crocheting a giant wool map of the country together. The knitters, many aged between their 60s and late 80s, met every week and slowly stitched Ireland piece by piece. It went on to earn a Guinness World Record as the world’s largest knitted diorama.
