Because they don’t have mechanics anymore. They have computer readers and part changers. They can’t troubleshoot shit

Serge :
I remember when mechanics were masters that figured out problems in a car WITHOUT the use of computers

because technicians today can't diagnose anything without a computer telling them exactly what's wrong.

Older vehicles are a lot easier to work on than new ones. I don’t see why a tech would have problems working on older rigs.

I have a 99 Accord. I like it because I can work on it at home. Parts are available through Amazon or Rock auto without issue. Sometimes I have to wait for parts a few days. Other than that I think it would be hard to find a new car that will last 300k miles like my Accord. It’s still my daily driver and runs awesome.

because all we have are parts changers not techs. we didn't need scanners back then we figured out what was wrong. but that said i wouldn't touch a new car to a certain point because everything is electric and 40billion sensors
