Allow me to clarify: the song was indeed written by E. K. Nyame, but the lead vocals were performed by Kwabena Okine. Kwabena Okine also sung the popular song titled "Car be bo mete pon na mene agyena." You've made a good effort, but please note that it should be Kwabena Okine instead of Kwabena Akoto. During the late 1950s and early 1960s, Kwabena Okine recorded numerous tracks, and he was considered as the olden days 'Castro the destroyer" who featured on many songs. Many artists, including my uncle Joe Eyison who wrote "Ponko Abodam"collaborated and wrote songs for him to sing. In his final days, my father cared for Kwabena Okine and took him to Faisal Helwani so he could produce his song titled "Bebe nti na Okoto ne tre."
