Did pressure treated get worse? I built my deck 30 years ago and tape on the joist was unheard of and I have zero rot. 🤷♂️

you should have an overhang on the decking whether it is end grain or picture framed and that overhang creates a roof for the fascia so water doesn't get between the fascia and the wood

Tape traps water and if you are using pressure treated lumber who cares if it gets wet.

That’s a waste of time in the first decking board would bridge that gap and nothing would go into it. You’re overthinking it wasting money.

This product is for ships , steel , wood and what not... your steel won't rust and wood won't rot , also good for your deck posts , bugs leave it alone , set the posts in concrete and you have 35 year fun
