The blanket statement of “all adaptions should be loyal to the original” are so annoying because it should be loyal to the spirit of the book and characters but not necessarily a scene by scene copy and paste. I always credit TSITP as one of the best adaptations I’ve seen because I genuinely think the choices made for S1/S2 elevate that story so much more.

Thank you!!!! The changes they’ve made are actually so logical and I agree! I’m really looking forward to the adaptation. I think some fans forget that not everyone who is gonna watch the show, is going to have read the book, so they need to be able to give some context and intros.
