Now let’s tell these people the difference between Ripple and XRP.. Ripple didn’t “create” XRP in the same way a company issues stock—it helped develop and promote it, but the XRP Ledger is technically independent and open-source. Also, banks can use Ripple’s payment network without using XRP, which adds to the confusion.
