I think everyone is in this elopement era, but I think weddings are so beautiful and I’ve also dreamed of it since I was a little girl so I think all the stress will be worth it for the big day!

2026 bride here, I felt the exact same way. I struggled with going back and forth on wanting a big wedding with all our friends and family and an intimate elopement. We decided on a micro wedding in the Dolomites with immediate family max 10 ppl and then traveling Italy. A month later we'll have a small dinner with all our friends in Dallas and share all the photos from Italy ✨

Hi I got married in November, during one of the busiest seasons of my life. Being a full-time student while also working full-time wasn’t easy, but it made everything even more meaningful. We actually started our journey a few months earlier with a small court wedding, followed by an intimate dinner with our closest family. It was simple, beautiful, and full of love. Later, we had our dream destination wedding in November. Because it was away from home, only the people who truly made the effort to be there could attend—and that made it even more special. Being surrounded by those who genuinely showed up for us was such an unforgettable feeling. It was all so worth it… and it just keeps getting better.

Hi!!! I am a 2026 Bride and I went through these emotions too my husband and I are legally married but are receiving eucharist and doing our religious ceremony. We ended up deciding on renting a really beautiful house for the dinner reception we also aren’t going to have any major bachelorette or bachelor parties. It is stressful but it also so special

I’m a 2026 bride. I decided to do it @ my local parish. And I’m keeping it small (18people) For dinner I am going to book a nice restaurant that we all like. And gelato/coffee place nearby that my fiancé and I love it!

Girl! I’m getting married April 28th this year. I was having a decent sized wedding with 92 people sent the invites out with “reception to follow” on them, and I was so stressed out with money my job and work that we ended up canceling the reception and just doing the ceremony. So now I’m only having a ceremony with small cocktail hour and then we’re having a family dinner elsewhere afterwards. honestly it relieved so much pressure and so much financial stress.

Our wedding was amazing and we kept it simple!!! My #1 tip is to not get carried away with all the extra stuff that you don’t need (wedding favors, extravagant decor, branded items) . Wedding culture is extremely wasteful, save your coin and go on an amazing honeymoon!!!💫💫

I was actually just in this same exact position! Got engaged in August and realized how stressful wedding planning was! My fiance and I decided to elope and it was the best thing for us! We had such a beautiful experience and I have no regrets🩷

Married 2024 & it was TOTALLY worth it!! Bc the hype of seeing all of your family and friends happy for you, getting to share the laughs and the tears is something I would NOT change ❤️🥰!! Hope this helps 🫶🏻

I had a court wedding with just family and a big wedding. They were both stressful but I will say that the day of the big wedding I let it all go and enjoyed it so much. Having all our friends and family celebrate us was very magical. 🤍

It's definitely your day. Your husbands day. I grew up wanting a large wedding and I'm glad I didn't. We planned on eloping and our kiddos were torn so I planned a wedding in 24 hrs. I paid $100 for the place here in the RGV and had 15 people max come for our wedding (immediate family) then invited extended family to dine with us for the after total spent that day was no more than $400 ❤️the next day we went to AZ (a dream of mine to have a wedding photos in the mountains) and had an amazing honey moon with my husband. Don't regret it at all.. it was perfect. Hope this helps you decide 💘

I got married last year and it was beautiful and a dream but my husband and I both agreed that if we could go back we would just elope at a cute courthouse and get a good photographer

I think we have all had this exact feeling when you start the planning and seeing those price tags. Sometimes it definitely feels like a money grab.. I’ve gone through SO many different options and stages. My family and fiancé are the same way, so supportive on whatever I want but WHAT DO I WANT SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO 😭 you’re not alone and the truth is, whatever you decide, it’s going to be the best day of your life. Make a vision board for both options and don’t rush! Meditation, prayer, visualization for both and it’ll come to you I promise 🤍

I got married this past year. We had a small little wedding at my grandparents home (where I grew up). We had a judge show up and still did the little walk just for fun. The party is cool and it’s a huge show but honestly having those closest to me show up and celebrating was probably better than having that huge party. You have the time to have fun and enjoy everyone rather than stress and not be able to enjoy it. I always wanted something big but I would never change what I did for anything

Well I don’t even speak to most of the people at my wedding now including bridesmaids just out of growing apart so if I was to do it again I’d defo do it small.
