If you have bills (car note, phone, insurance, etc) after graduating college, do what you have to do until you get where you’re trying to go! Or better yet do your best to not get any bills until you actually have good & stable income

I started my field in high school. I was in college working at the hospital majoring in nursing, and had an off campus college apartment fully paid for by me. I recently graduated in December. When I crossed the stage I already had applied for new grad jobs, so I had a job already, and just got my new apartment yesterday. All this was planned in high school as a junior. Definitely due to God and planning. Gotta be ahead at all times.

Sista ain’t lying!! I’m almost a year post grad and still haven’t gotten my big girl job. Also, I agree if you have it, save up to get your own place, people don’t talk about how much moving back home after college messes with your mental! But we all going through it so just trust the process and keep trying!!

I’m a non-traditional. That being said, I started everything in highschool. I had an idea where I wanted to go, just didn’t know the direction yet- which is very normal. I did an internship in high school, and landed a job close to my field after graduating. I decided to pause college on my 19th birthday due to not being confident in what I wanted/ matched me for my future. I’m now 24, have 5 years experience under my belt, and pursing a degree that matches me and my resume perfectly, while also building years in a career I started to slowly pivot in. By the time i graduate, I will have 2 career fields I’ll be creditable in, and will have the luxury or options later down the line. In college, I am taking the same mindset I had in high school and will be using that to get my foo in doors before I graduate. You have to get really good at using the opportunities that are presented to you and yes, everyone’s journey is different

Depending on the organization you were in, it can most definitely help you get a job in your field. Even if it’s not in your major; just beef it up. Some orgs I was in is one of the reasons I got my leadership role at Amazon
