I remember asking my maths teacher in high-school where can I apply the equation she was teaching us in a real life situation she couldn't answer it. I was like why learn this when we don't know how to apply it in the real world

I had 90% teachers who were bad teachers. I became a teacher who learnt from their mistakes. But the system rewards teachers based on standardised tests.

As an ex teacher I agree but there are other issues like enabling parents to go to work. By owning an education it can still be turned to advantage.
