My nephew was a runner when he was little. Had to keep our eyes on him constantly. We went to see his older sister's performance at school and yep he took off. Found him in the lap of an elderly woman. She was in tears so we let him stay with her. After the performance, she thanked us then told us she was estranged from her daughter, who banned her from seeing her granddaughter...she snuck in to see her granddaughter's performance. Hugging my nephew was for her like hugging her granddaughter. My nephew knew she needed it.
