we’ve been trying to hire a civil engineer for 2+ years now but we’re local gov so everyone is going to higher paying private sector jobs. i will say being in local gov is great job stability, even if the pay isn’t as great as private sector.

Husband is a mechanical engineer and has friends with companies that have a job for him when he is ready for a change. I’m a nurse and can get a job within 5 minutes if I want one. Some fields are easy to move around once you get experience but are tough to get the initial experience

Assistant Project Manager in construction management (GC). I would say ALL construction companies are hiring. Some more than others. Mainly commercial/industrial companies. Experience is needed, I would say, in some sort of PM and also knowing construction terms/plans/specs.
