It's a typically baroc building. It's decorated with a dome what we found often in that period. But actually, when people were infected eith the plague, well they were banned to an island near Venice. They had to stay there at leat 40 days ,so they couldn't contaminate other people. Because they stayed 40 days,the term quarantine in derived by the fact. Quarantine was Italian for 40 . That's why we call it quarantine now
