Her uncle is Darin Chappell a Republican member of the Missouri House of Representatives, her grandfather was Dennis Chappell who as mentioned she got her stage name Roan from which was taken from a song he liked, he was one of the original partners in PJC Insurance in Springfield Missouri, he also happened to be a principal owner of the Silo Ridge Golf & Country Club in Bolivar, Missouri. (not saying her uncle is a direct reflection on her)
