I have always preferred going to shelters. I feel there is no need to encourage breeders when there are so many sweet babies (even if it’s a senior it’s still a baby to me lol) in need of a good home and some love and I’ve noticed shelter critters usually make some of the best pets they just take some extra work and paitence. I’ve already told my bf if we are ever looking into a pet we WILL be looking through different shelters before ever looking at breeders
