Back in the day we didn’t have workout gear. We were old clothes to the gym 😂

Idk cotton is not a good fabric for activewear if you actually plan on working out lol

I always mix and match… but BFR cotton and most natural fibers are awful for active wear, they’re not resistant enough, too heavy or too translucent, oh and good look taking sweat stains out of those clothes…

Love the idea but anyone who does cardio needs sweat-wicking fabrics unfortunately.

If you look at brands like vuori, set active, adanola, they’re doing great. Lulu just isn’t doing great at having trendy styles. I don’t think people are spending less on activewear it’s just at different places.

If Lulu came out with a lower price point mix and match separates line with retro garanimals type vibe, higher cotton content, basic colours, I think it would slay. The kids are not buying Lulu because it’s ugly now and also way too expensive.

Cotton for active gear; I was a kid/teen in the 90s and cotton felt hot and heavy to work out in. Especially, now that we have gotton used to an alternative.

I feel like this is more indicative of the economy than a style choice. Buying secondhand Lululemon instead of brand new. Mixing and matching tops/bottoms gives you more outfit options than matching sets. Cotton lasts longer than plastic fabrics. Etc etc.

Is anyone else tired of the fashion industry constantly pushing us to be doing 180s in order to buy more??? You finally got us all wearing matching sets, high rise wide leg jeans, sneakers and tight crop tops and now it’s cotton workout gear, low rise straight jeans, long torso tops and ballet flats? After we just got out of our skinnies a couple of years ago??? LEAVE US ALONE

Don't be scared of synthetic activewear, cotton absorbs sweat the reason why activewear is made of engineered fabric is because it does stuff natural fibers can't do like dry quickly, repel odors and have a cool slippery feel against your skin for workouts.

I wore umbro shorts and a giant T-shirt to work out in the 90s 😂 I'm not sure what 90s work out wear refers too.

I’m not even remotely interested in active wear nor know anyone else who is offline. I just want to see more variety in our stores again, because there’s been such a lack of it in the last few years.

It’s because more recent Lululemon’s quality sucks. I used to have pieces that held up for years. Now it falls apart after a year and I take such good care of my clothes.

What are the pilates moms in the Bay area wearing? They were the blueprint of matching sets and athleisure .

idk i actually like matching sets because i don’t have to think or search as much when getting my workout clothes ready. i mix and match more with my running clothes but cotton does not sound appealing. we need wicking material

I read that Lycra only filed for bankruptcy to eliminate some of the company’s debt. Just a restructuring thing but I don’t think this would affect production significantly?
