some birds are chirping that this whole program might not be actually 6 gen, china as a new player in aerospace has a known engine problem, for commercial jets they buy western engines and fot military that just scape what they have or what Russia gave them, 6 gen requires variable cycle engines that china doesnt have unlike the us, also main feature of 6 gen are ai wingman that china don't have experience in also unlike the us

the reason is china is not that successful with scaling up the engine. one engine is lighter and more powerful than 3!! and if thay use trust vector 2 engines would be ideal, but as I say thay have problem to scale it up
