@wwww_horseprints: Racing the rains to take down my yurt. It took all day to disassemble my winter home and now it’s almost time to saddle up and ride out into another season of horseback travel. This year I layed a ground tarp and then puzzle mats and set up the yurt on top of it which kept a solid moisture barrier aswell as insulation the ground. That combine with two 1inch thick felt layers made the structure wind proof and almost too warm inside. I spent almost the whole winter with my door open. I’ll miss the insulated comfort of the yurt. Now it’s back to cooking on fire and weathering the spring rains in an open tarp shelter! Like always! #wintercamp #yurt #camp
