You put a acid down to break down the hard water deposits. It's a constant battle, depending on where you live. One time does not fix it. It takes multiple times of constant beating down of hard water deposits. But me I would break out the pressure washer.

Put a better pre treatment down and your problem is solved. I had to figure that out but once you do your never going the drill route on your hands and knees again
