I literally say all the time. I’m a great mom to 1. I’d be a mediocre mom to 2. Of course I’d love another perfect little snuggly baby. But those babies turn into full grown children that need a lot rearing and development. And I have such high expectations of myself with how I parent and teaching emotional intelligence I simply could not handle more than my one.

And the opportunities they don’t have because you can’t commit to any kind of extracurricular is major! Not being able to vacation with them at minimum once a year! Not being able to treat them to outings or events.

Also just because you may be able to scrape by in terms of food, housing and basic needs that still doesn’t mean have more. Children deserve extracurriculars, to explore interests, etc… i am done at 2 because we can afford our needs and MORE. Sports, camps, etc… having another would TAKE AWAY from my existing children.

I have 6 and I feel like a more present mother the more I had. when I only had 2 it was overwhelming and I was burnt out everynight. legit was hiding in my room and depressed everyday so im very happy that I didnt just stop at 2
