I think this is pointless. If you want to create a HP series tell a new story. IT: Welcome to Derry worked because they didn’t regurgitate the exact same story the movie or mini series told. The focus is on the tragic events mentioned but not seen. I like HP, but i won’t be watching this.

It's always been the Philosopher's Stone. It was only called the Sorcerer's Stone here in the states bc the publisher thought we would see it as too highbrow or boring and wouldn't associate it with magic. So they changed it.

the first 2 seasons might not be too different from the movies. they were as close to the books as possible because the material was short enough to fit into a movie and only loose a little. it is the later books that are more fleshed out that the films dropped the ball on. not saying they were bad they just didn't have the time to flesh out some of the content that is in the books. they also had writers that had character bias because they liked Hermione and literally gave her some of Ron's traita in the books that created more development for his character. (like Hermione knowing about things like mudblood and devils snare. also Hermione was always the first to stand with harry in the movies yet in the books Ron did)

my issue is it seems so gloomy and devoid of the whimsy that made the original movies such a delight. of course it's only a trailer so it's not a perfect indicator of the show as a while.

There will never be a "Right Time" but to the new generation this is perfect it's ok to reimagine certain stories and enjoy a good classic book/movie 💗 I hope people just embrace the fun fact that not only adults can enjoy Harry Potter all over again but now kids can enjoy it with them

I would have rather seen one of the difference schools With the different divisions with different characters. maybe even a cameo per episode. i think there's 11 major schools in the Harry Potter world 🌎

This story has been told. People have read the books, watched the movies and it's still a great story. Why not tell a new story? The founding of Hogwarts; The Marauders; Harry's Son at Hogwarts; How the ghosts died. I can think up at least 10 ideas that the fan base would rather see than the same story getting retold.
