@larissawaters: We should be angry. Politics should work for people and planet — not corporate profits. That's why the Greens are fighting to get big money out of politics, make the 1% pay their fair share and to put that money towards things that will actually improve people’s lives.
dental being included in Medicare would be nice....

It’s actually really unfair for the young adults in Australia. I was able to rent out one bedroom unit for $200 a week. I could live off my wage, save for a Europe trip, go out every weekend. I enjoyed my 20s. I honestly feel like they are being robbed.

I want to go to uni to get a better paying job but then I don’t want to be left with the hex debt that grows and then affects any future loans

I'm 54 and I have worked all my life. I have used all my super. I lost my house and assets in divorce. I live in public housing and can't afford to rent. I have been supported by welfare way too long while raising disabled children without child support. I went to Uni. My hex debt is $45 000. The NDIS are highly problematic. My life will never change because there is NO exit when you live under the poverty line.

I have to accept that I’ll never be able to buy a house for my kids to grow up in. Rent keeps increasing and with interest rate rises property owners are increasing their rent once more so the renters pay the extra on their mortgage not them. Living pay check to pay check each week is mentally draining.

My nephew is 5 and has lost part of his NDIS funding. My sister will now need to find $300 a week for his much needed speech therapy. As a tax payer, I want my money put back into the community to help my fellow Aussie. Not line politicians pockets, pay for war, or tax breaks for the richest amongst us

When I was young I used to get told “the only way to make it is to get to 100k a year” and now I’m at 150k and I am still struggling to get to a house deposit while renting.

even 5 years ago I was living a comfortable life. good job, went on holiday often, I could take my kids to do whatever they wanted (within reason) I'm getting paid more than I ever have in my life.. smw house, same car and now my house is 80% of my salary.. and no, there are none cheaper, I moved to a rural area for the "cheap house" I shouldn't be earning this much to be this poor 😭

Just to be clear, at 24 it’s impossible to have spent “most of your life” working…..unless you started employment at age 11

I bought a 2 bedroom unit in 2001 for $80,000. The post Olympic investment sell-off. Today, 25yrs later, the unit is $490,000. It went up 600%!!! That's obscene.
Another huge investment sell-off & new housing investment regulations are need IMMEDIATELY.
