Hello!! I am a third generation flooring installer and have installed for the past 32 years. There is entirely to much give to the floor when using underlayment with a product that already has attached pad. Remove the extra underlayment one. And try sliding the short edges together first then slowly lift and tap in the long edge. The flooring was designed to be drop and lock with the tapping of a hammer which will definitely have to be done at the last row. But is definitely the reason why the industry is moving on from these drop and lock products it can be done but is a literal pain and in my opinion junk locking system.

Normal for that kind of floor, if you can check the lot number on the boxes and see if you got multiple lots to compare the surface from each of em it should give you a good idea of the general quality

Drop fit locking system sucks and willl haunt you forever. I try not to install it anymore.

Don’t set the ends too tight .. leave a decking card thickness between ends and then when you tap together it will draw that lil gap tight. Let me know if that helps .. I do mostly life proof but they will do exactly as you showed if you set ends tight then tap together

It’s the worst locking system they’ve ever made—just replace the board, because you simply hammered it too hard and lifted the lock mechanism.

a mí me pasó eso por qué le puse undeleyment. en una sala y en los cuartos no le puse en los cuartos quedó bien y en la sala paso eso se lo quite y quedó bien

Install it properly and that won’t happen. There is instructions in it and it will show you. I’ve seen a lot of beginners have this issue and it should not happen no matter how cheap the floor is.

you are damaging the material you are overlapping the boards, and use a piece of lvt putit on the joints and use your rubber malet

I had this happen to me , we had to re do the job and you have to install at a 45 degree as if it was click and then drop and bang it in , and you have to close it with a tapping block… sucks

It’s that product! I installed some and the same thing would happen. You can use a block and smack it directly on that area to help but it’s literally the material

it's the quality of the the material and the amount of force / tool you're using to close them. as installers we might run into cheap material, we have to learn how to work around that even if it takes a little longer.

go back to your first row and start looking for your first noticeable Gap and that's how much flooring you have to pull up to correct the problem after one is off it throws every row afterwards off

try setting 4 in a row with a second course without any tapping. is joints look like that then its a installation issue. if the issue disappears then you know.
