I am so interested to know what you think of the brain scans that Tyler Henry underwent!

I think it’s interesting that you called it a “gift.” I was a tarot reader for years. It was authentic, not a scam. However, it was also unsustainable, because I realized people were giving up their autonomy when they got Tarot readings. Walking away destabilized my entire life and I’ve never recovered. The problem was I was “accurate” and because I was so accurate and I was drinking my own koolaid. It just hit me one day, “This could harm people.” It almost harmed someone and I saw it and I said, “peace out.” If you have ideas on how to find stability, I’d love to chat. Anyway, gift is an interesting framing, because others see it as a gift too. Even today and even after I explain why I seem so accurate.

could I please have anything for myself that ISN'T just another symptom/result of my childhood trauma? Do I even have a personality or am I just a collection of diagnoses?

As a psychic, YES. For me personally my hypervigilance turned INTO spiritual attunement when I chose to consciously ‘evolve’ past the initial trauma response

I can attest to this based on my own personal experience. I have a ton of childhood trauma. I became deeply spiritual after a divorce and was a professional psychic and evidential medium for 10 years. I’ve been doing traditional therapy and self healing work for a decade. I found a really good EMDR therapist last year who changed my life. I no longer dissociate and can’t get into the trance that is required for mediumship. It’s all gone after a breakthrough EMDR session. I can’t explain it but want to research more.

I do not think I have spiritual gifts now that I’m deconstructed. But I still don’t understand how I dream of things that haven’t happened yet and then they happen. I saw my son and what he looked like before he was born. I knew the day my mother would die. I had a dream when I was 29 that I’d have a baby girl at 36, and somehow even through divorce and advance age I am about to turn 36 and somehow pregnant with a girl. I get tired of knowing things are going to happen. My theory is that time just must not be linear and I am having future memories.

How do you explain the ability to read someone’s circumstances, thoughts and feelings remotely?

My trauma therapist asked what I liked about myself. I struggled with an answer but eventually said, “I am empathetic. I feel really attuned to what others are feeling and it’s like magic.” She said, “Yeah, and it came at a high price.” That lead into the “trauma made you hyper vigilant” education.

I was previously atheist then agnostic. Then my psychic gifts came online 😅 and I had a lot of thinking and reconciling to do - still am doing! The Animal Communication, telepathy and energy healing I do is all remotely and all I typically use is a photo and first name. I prefer no leading info but I allow a few questions in most situations to be most helpful. All of that to say - I find the remote nature of my work fascinating bc it can’t be attributed to just a strong ability to pickup queues in person. I wish I could explain how it all works - I just know that does 😅

I had ability before I was traumatized, dissociation is not a solid hallmark of ability. I’ve found the more grounded and present I am the more clear and strong the ability. The more calm I am the more accurate. Not all the psychics are born from trauma. We just are. I agree with who ever commented it’s as natural a breathing but it’s been suppressed for generations genetically due to religious and social systemic issues. I would argue that an entry point event, such as trauma, may aid in awakening sleeping genetics but again not everyone has that. I can feel the shift in my brain and consciousness and it’s something that can be relearned and goes beyond physical proximity. It’s why real genuine psychics can read you without seeing you at all face to face. Sharing my experience and those of others who out there living it.

I’m not saying I wish my trauma that gave me both dissociation and hyper vigilance with a desperate need for truth as a coping response to chaos was instead swapped for this vision stuff…but a test drive would’ve been nice

The last time you posted something similar to this I had an emotional response and really had to sit in the discomfort. This time I thought, “yeah, maybe!” Regardless of what explanation holds truth for the “spiritual abilities” I have, I’m in a space of gratitude for them and the life experiences that brought me to each one to date. I’m grateful for your content and the emotions they provoke. It gives me an opportunity to check in with myself honestly and contemplate things I might not otherwise consider. I appreciate you! 🫶

After living this experience, I now know that every single human is capable of developing spiritual gifts (for lack of a better name). Most people just can't tap in because their brain still has "guard rails". But the brain truly is a supercomputer. And the Universe is stranger than we think.

I’m a psychic/tarot reader and I love having multiple sets of vocabulary to explain my “gifts.” And hey, even if it was born from childhood trauma, I have put in work to refine it. I also think it’s a really beautiful thing to be able to alchemize my hurt into a “superpower” that can help myself and others.

I feel is this it’s just electromagnetic energy and picking from the collective consciousness and can also be applied in science on quantum physics and laws of nature, it’s interconnection within the real of reality.

I can tell you as a child from trauma.. my night terrors used to be unhinged.. easily could be mistaken as paranormal.. I also had pretty significant sleep paralysis.

I definitely have trauma related hyper-vigilance and have been called psychic and intuitive. But what I find fascinating and wish would be studied more is having dreams about things I have no way of knowing! Like two dreams in a row my mom was sick, called her, and she had been sick

I agree. I do however think life is pretty crazy and life form is so intelligent that it's difficult not to believe in something. Even the fact that something had to come from nothing is a pretty baffling concept.
