How condescending. We should be MORE outraged about the lack of infrastructure, transparency, and protections for creator commissions instead of trivializing people’s rightful frustrations due to constant glitches and changes. When you’re not a big creator it’s scary because you don’t have big commission months to fall back on. I agree to keep pushing but twisting this scenario and saying “not having faith is why we’re not making the money we want to be making” instead of advocating for standardization and transparency with your large platform is a bit backward. Two truths can exist at the same time- keep pushing and posting but the glitches and changes are frustrating and warrant a reaction from creators who are spending their time and energy on this.

I do think it’s fair for people to be upset. The biggest company in the world can’t figure out how to stop glitching? How long are we going to use “the company switched” as an excuse?

as a top 2% creator doing TTS over a year its super frustrating getting gaslighted by other creators for content. no one cares about the unseen commission for a day. we care that our views and commission have dropped 70+% since the switch and throughout all the updates without any resolution. its extremely misleading to say the new owners are doing this to make it easier and have more transparency when since all the updates have gone thru its getting more frustrating and we're seeing way less. I think we need to normalize calling a spade a spade and not telling everyone its all good and this will be better later on.

My commission disappeared at the end of March. I’ve had 0 sales and 0 commissions for 3 weeks. Mine went poof into the abyss. But I’m getting emails from seller saying I’m their top seller. They are sending things to my house because my sales are so good but in my data there’s zero sales.

I dunno, I just have the mindset that I’m building a business on somebody else’s platform that I don’t own and I don’t have any control over so that’s my own damn fault. I’m lucky to even have this opportunity in the first place.

🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 this why I follow you! thank you for the Ted talk!! I always keep posting yall! This is only my 4th month doing TTS, and made 10k this month. And a good portion of my sales this month came from December videos that I forgot I made.. until I started seeing all the sales come in… This truly is a mental and waiting game and I hope this helps someone keep pushing! I’m just getting started, I’m locked in!

I check my commissions only once a day; when my head hits the pillow to go to bed. If it’s good, I’m happy. If it’s not so good, I work a little harder tomorrow. It’s definitely a huge mental game and you constantly need to work on your mindset, but the herd mentality gets to people and panic ensues.

THIS I try so hard not to get second had anxiety when they update the system. The issues we deal with now, are relatively minor to TikTok shop 2023/2024. People gotta chill 😭 panic is so bad for your nervous system
