I’m an acute care doctorally-prepared NP with specialization and critical care medicine and cardiology, but in my free time I’m also a self-taught realism oil painter and a drawer, and I also crochet. I used to post my artwork on TikTok, because I was told I need to start showcasing my work online in order to start selling. When I discovered the amount of views and followers that these types of people you’re describing get on this platform, I found a pointless and no longer did that. It’s a disgrace what people value nowadays. So now I won’t post anything, because I see no point.

It's in the line of it being about being a "viral content" moment that makes it bleh. I appreciate it more when it becomes about artistic framing like say becoming a better video videographer. However its always the former and that's weird for sure.
