Going to kamakura for 10 days in two weeks. Luckily, my son lives in Tokyo, speaks Japanese and knows his way around!

I wouldn't say Nikko is a daytrip destination though. At least 1-2 nights is really needed as the attractions are far apart and it takes almost 2 hours to get there from Tokyo
