As a regular traveller London - NYC get your hands on a wavytalk hot brush on amazon ! It works SO well and it’s dual voltage. You can just use a regular socket adapter when you come to the UK. The voltage converters are trash that aren’t 10KG lol. I had to buy one to get my British Dyson to work in America it was a PAIN

The air wrap is 1400W, it needs converter that is more than 1400W. There had to be a little reserve too. I would reccomend going to an electro store with the air wrap to show them the info and let them pick it all for you. I worked in one and we did that all the time for people 💖 Volts are correct but Watts unfortunately just as important

Oh, I had the exact same issue when I went to the U.S.! As a Brit, I didn’t realise that we’ve got higher voltage (around 230V) compared to the U.S.’s lower voltage (about 120V). My hair tools basically refused to work! It’s not just a plug adapter issue, because the voltage is different, the tools themselves need to be dual voltage or you need a proper converter. Otherwise, they just won’t cooperate!

If you bought one in say the UK/EU/Australia it would work everywhere outside of the US and you could use it as your travel one? 🤷🏼♀️But I know they are expensive sooo maybe not haha

The voltage is different as a Brit my electronics don’t work in the US. I’d buy a new one for Europe specific

Idk about hairdryer/styler, but I used to live in Türkiye and I’ve bought there Dyson Corrale, so when I moved to the USA I only add adapter for us plug in and now I can use it everywhere (since in Türkiye they have European plug in). But I had to leave my Dyson hairdryer , because I didn’t find any proper and safe way to use it. I guess if you’re travel a lot you should buy styler in Europe for it. Imo the easiest way

I dont think that's that right converter. I googled "universal converter for hair tools" and found this which looks promising

I had this struggle moving to England and some of my expensive tools blew up. I ended up getting the lainge curling iron dual voltage and straighter, I love it! Just make sure you get the right voltage box if you want to travel with the shark, but if not I’d get one you can travel with that’s dual voltage
