Although there isn't comfort in finding out that the worst was the truth, there is still a sense of peace that can be found in knowing the truth rather than being stuck in the fear or regret of how things play out because of those fears. (At least for me, I wish I had clarity on some of the things that happened when my ex and I were having problems because I want to know truly how far my anxiety drove me and how much was a real reason for me to be hurt. Regardless, life is different for everyone, and everyone experiences emotions, heartbreak, and general life pain in their own ways.) If nothing else, I hope you can find peace with time, knowing that with clarity, your mind can eventually let go, even though that wound takes a while.
