@hybridcalisthenics: Theoretically, isometrics can make us very strong However, a surprisingly big issue is the lack of measurability unless you have a scale or weights (and most people with weights just simply lift them up and down) Why would anyone want it? Well, it's pretty neat that we can build up to holding big weight by pulling on, say, a railing. It'd at least be a feasible supplement for calisthenics. As usual, I'll mention that you don't have to do isometrics at all. Some people never want it or need it. However, the lesson we can take either way is to keep some level of measurability in our workouts This could mean tracking not only sets and reps, but filming ourselves to track form. Sometimes our reps are the same but our form has improved - that's still improvement! This can help us with long-term consistency and fitness. Have a wonderful day! #hybridcalisthenics
