@filmenthusiast: Ryan Gosling has been in Drive, La La Land, Blade Runner 2049, Barbie. And somehow none of them are his best-reviewed film. That title now belongs to Project Hail Mary, which just landed a Certified Fresh 95% on Rotten Tomatoes alongside a 98% audience score, both all-time career highs. Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, the film follows science teacher Ryland Grace who wakes up alone on a spaceship with no memory, tasked with saving the sun from dying. Critics are calling it the first great film of 2026, with Gosling's performance described as one of the best of his career.

Project: Hail Mary is basically a passion project that Ryan Gosling won the rights to before the book even came out. He put everything into this movie for 6 years and it shows.
