PSG played in all competitions last season with only two weeks of rest. PSG had 15 players called up to national teams, one of the most, along with City. Ligue 1 has had this rule forever; it's not just PSG. Strasbourg did it, and so did Lyon, Marseille, and others. PSG is the only French team that goes far in the UCL, so it brings more points to the league. More points equal more places for the UCL, get it?
