BRO YOU SAID 120ML OF WATER ON BOTH but it’s 120ML of volume (water + ball = 120ml) of course it’s the same but if we had 120ml of water in both, the booency of the ball would make it heavier

Another way to look at it is to consider a column of water in both beakers that does not include the ball. The pressure at the bottom of the column is dependent on the weight of the water above it, which is the same in both cases.

how does the pressure of the water thats vertically above the ball affect the hanging scale? is the hanging scale measuring the weight of the ball + the weight of the water above the ball - the bouncy factor?
