I remember my progress of being a Melanie fan. It all started back in 2018 when I was 5 years old. My older sister of 5 years would always watch the K-12 music videos with me, and I remember when I watched Highschool Sweethearts for the first time, I just felt a click, after that, I couldn't ever stop. 2 years later at 7 years old in 2020, during COVID and Zoom, I remember during my free time, I would always turn on lyrics from CryBaby and K-12, and I would spend my time learning each song, everyday. By March 2023 when PORTALS released, I was 9. ( My birthday is in June, so I was still 9 at the time ) I fell more in love with Melanie, I learned every song, and eventually, out of all of them, POWDER was my absolute favorite. Fast forward to 2024, my mom surprised me with my first ever tickets for the 2024 Lollapalooza to see Melanie for the FIRST time! By June 2025, for my 12th birthday theme, I choose Melanie. On my cake, there were different kinds of pictures of her from all her eras, it was a blast! Then, fast forward to June 2026, on my 13th birthday, my mom surprised with tickets to the HADES Sacrifice Tour in Rosemont, IL on July 17th. I recorded everything, got bracelets, merch, and confetti from a stranger! Now, I am currently a 13 year old girl who's officially been a fan for 8 years! LOVE YOU MELANIE! 💕
