@dermotkennedy: “The Weight of the Woods” North American tour!! I was having a conversation with somebody the other day about my touring, particularly in the US. And they were kinda saying “you’ve never had a huge radio hit in America, and you’re not really famous over there, how do you play these venues?”, and I didn’t have a decent response... But having thought about it now, I feel so so lucky for the way my touring has played out in America. It feels like a secret, right until I get inside these venues and can’t believe the size of them. So here I am again, announcing a tour that I’m stunned by, and trusting in whatever it is that we’ve built. Free from radio play or the pursuit of viral moments. We know that something powerful happens when we all get together, and that’s precious. And trust me, this album and this music is going to make it the most beautiful tour yet. All of this is just to say how grateful I am. It didn’t happen this way by accident. From the first time I played shows in the US, I felt such love for songs like After Rain and An Evening.
