going slower is better. If you overdo it too quick thats how you get the migration. and find an injector where you actually like their work. my girl has like a signature look she does and it's so natural it doesnt even look like filler. it DOES hurt even with the numbing cream but pain is beauty lol

Migration is inevitable- yes there are varying degrees but the nature of the procedure and area is such that it’s going to migrate aka move. Unless someone has uneven or pencil thin lips I don’t recommend it. Everybody is out here looking crazy.

I get a dental block everytime I get mine done so I don’t feel anything besides the numbing shots, maintenance is different for everyone some people metabolize the filler faster than others, migration can depend on how the filler is injected so make sure you go to someone who knows what they’re doing

I am not going to sugar coat it babe… it hurts. They do numb you and there is lidocaine in the filler as well. But it’s not like the most comfortable experience. I think migration kind of just depends on the injector. I’ve had my lips filled for like about six years now, and they have never migrated! My injector is very conservative when it comes to filler. Which I think is a good thing. I go about twice a year for touchups.

I have a pretty intense fear of needles, and I actually passed out halfway through. They put ice packs on my head and I was fine after, but I’m not gonna lie, if you’re scared of needles, it does hurt a little. It also made me feel pretty sick to my stomach. Maintenance is super easy, my lip filer didn’t migrate, just make sure you go to a good med spa.

Migration happens anyway. No matter what. It happens because you’re moving that part of your body. I first did my lips about 15 years ago and I never dissolved them until this year. I can tell you that because of the migration and just building up filler that my lips look way better naturally. I think doing a conservative amount is OK, but I honestly have damaged the skin on my lips and I didn’t even have big lips. I never got more than one full syringe and then I refreshed it with a half. If you look at the videos on my TikTok, you can see where some of the loose skin on my lips is in the upper corner of one side, but it’s really not that extremely bad. I have worse things going on so it doesn’t bother me.

It hurts but it’s worth it. Literally like 2 mins of pain if you get a full syringe. Just don’t go overboard and migrate because getting them dissolved is THE WORST!!!

hiii i’ve had my lips done for a couple years now and i love it! i’ve only had them touched up once (1 ml about a year later) since i got it to the perfect volume (1.5ml), it depends on the person and how our body processes it. some people metabolize it and have to get it done more often. i have had numbing cream and a numbing block (lidocaine injection) and i recommend doing the numbing block, if your provider carries it. the few times i used numbing cream it sat on me for 20 mins and i didnt feel anything until the injection started. its a sharp poke, but you’re also still numb so it eventually goes away/you just get over the pain. but with the numbing injection you really don’t feel anything at all. both numbing last a couple of hours after the procedure! but none the less, i still would do it again. i love it! i haven’t noticed much migration and you won’t either if it’s pretty minimal. don’t do anything crazy like straw usage or massaging the lips until it’s fully healed if you’re worried!

If you’re in SoCal, I highly recommend going to my injector in LA. I had almost 2 full syringes of filler before going to her & the placement was so bad that it didn’t even look like I had anything done. I also almost passed out on her (lol) and she was so sweet and helpful. I haven’t had money to go back in over 2 years and the 1 syringe she did for me over a few sessions still looks so good. The injector can make or break your experience. I can send you her insta if you want!!

just close your eyes, the numbing works well and when the needle goes in it feels like plucking a hair on your upper lip but my advice is i had 3 syringes total over a span of time (restylane defyne 1ml june 2020 for symmetry, restylane kysse 1ml august 2020 for volume, and restylane kysse 1ml june 2021 for more volume) my lips looked amazing and next week i’m getting them dissolved and then 3 weeks later i’m getting them refilled just for symmetry! def retouch them every few years but if you make sure you dissolve what’s in there prior otherwise migration will occur. DONT EVER GET JUVEDERM OR VOLUMA!!!! that’s what causes the trout mouth and the duck lips and looks just terrible :( always ask for the restylane line or RHA line!!! restylane kysse would be perfect for you!

I don’t hate needles but it hurt so bad 😂 my eyes unintentionally teared up from the pain but it was worth it and I’m getting it done again. This time I’m using arnica because I bruised bad last time

Go somewhere that uses a lil injectable dental block you won’t feel a thing 🥰 if the filler is placed appropriately (very superficially) and the right product is used it minimizes the chance of migration SIGNIFICANTLY (if they place it too deeply it ends up in the muscle & gets pushed up above the lip or behind the lip into the posterior compartments). Basically is super injector dependent. Also NO STRAWS for at least 7-14 days after treatment to help minimize the risk of migration!

Hi!! I’m an injector 💓 Numbing cream is your best friend! You can ask to leave it in a bit longer or even see if you can come in like 15 minutes earlier and have them get started ASAP on the numbing. Also, technique matters. A skilled injector injects in a way that should be very light feathery pushes / pulls into the tissue. Also the type of product too…. If it’s more dense or a lighter silkier product. You’ll be fine! It’s totally worth it 💕

I hate needles too but I’ve done it multiple times and it hurts pretty dang bad in the moment even with numbing cream. The lips are so sensitive. I haven’t gotten mine done in 3 years and they aren’t as big but my lips are still pretty full

I’ve had filler done so far in my chin, cheeks, and lips by far was the WORST 😭 I’m sorry even a lip flip is so painful for me. The numbing didn’t do anything but make my tongue numb 😭 BUTTTT…. It’s soooo worth it I love them. I’ve had restylane kysse done maybe like 3 years ago, and my lips still look really good, they’re less full now but I don’t really have any migration.

It’s the most painful place to get filler. And personally I don’t like the numbing cream because it gives me anxiety when I can’t fully feel what they’re doing and I almost pass out 50% of the time lol
