7th grade art teacher taught is blind contour drawing and it felt like it unlocked drawing for me. Another technique that helped a lot later on in my education was reductive drawing.

isn't blind contour drawing suppose to be a continuous line drawing of something in front of u, like I remember it was called blind bc ur not supposed to looked at ur drawing, only at the subject u r drawing. this is just timed sketches, with a focus on simplifying shapes 😭😭😭

doing studies has helped my confidence a lot. like yes I can draw i just need to lock in on one thing and not try for pieces with 10 different principles I dont understand
