You are absolutely right. When I’ve seen cases for instance, that of the Watts family , and learned that women were sending letters to the man who took the lives of his daughters and wife, I was left completely shocked and these were messages offering him support.

Love your videos! I went to school for criminal justice/criminology and our professors would always say, if you write an inmate in prison, make sure it's someone with a life sentence and use a PO box, haha. Because you never know, if someone gets out and they have your address, they could just show up 🤣. I know that's not exactly what you are referring to in your video, but it made me remember. I never wrote anyone, though! 😆

I had a prison pen friend a few years ago (when I was doing my counselling training) but he was in for theft and possession of meth. I actually thought that would be more "interesting" than writing to psychopathic killer. Netflix docs about these people can be interesting but I don't need to creep myself out by actually writing to them.
