That’s amazing Steven. I was so pleased with the 14k words I had done in the week since back in the UK! Oops. Also you asked what we would be interested in having you talk us through? Two things stand out for me, just at the moment. So some kind of idiots guide checklist. Format book, proof read, KDP or whatever. But the biggest thing holding me back in genre. I didn’t aim anywhere when I started writing, just write what I had in my head. And everyone has a different view of what genre it might be. And I know that if I get it wrong then it won’t go anywhere. So I think that stupid small thing is what is holding me back. And everyone in Ireland asking me about genre is what made me realise it. We apparently bring away different things. Great to see the dictation going so well. Only a matter of time before you voice your own audio books surely :)

How to you do punctuation paragraphs and dialogue? I tried dictation and ended up with huge monlirhs of text that took ages to edit to make it readable let alone ‘good’

Oh my god, I’m a brand new wee author and I started my first book by dictating ❤️it’s so much fun when I walk Brontë my dog, talking to myself like a crazy person 🤣 4 chapters in 4 days and they’re taking about 30 minutes to dictate. Well done you Steven. Isn’t it exciting! 🙌

I love the creative process. And everybody is a little different. I use dictation for a part of my process. I dictate the internal monologue of the character whose point of view I’m writing from. And then incorporate that into the text. Because I write from deep POV multiple points of view, it’s a layered process and not an easy one to dictate in the first shot. My books are also very dialogue. Heavy with strong character voices. Congratulations. It sounds like you are having fun and it’s really working for you. A book in a week is pretty amazing.
