When you first wake up, your brain is still in a highly suggestible state. The default mode network is active, and whatever emotional input you introduce first becomes the baseline your mind carries forward. Most people don’t realize this… and they waste it. They wake up and immediately think about stress. Deadlines. Problems. Responsibilities. Before they even get out of bed, their nervous system is already in tension. And from there, the day follows that tone. Spiritual teachings have said this for centuries in a different way: your intention shapes your experience. So instead of letting your mind run on default, choose your first thought intentionally. Before you even stand up, set the tone. “Today I choose peace and possibility.” It’s simple.
