Is it the dealers or Deere itself calling these shots? It think it’s the contracts the dealers are forced to sign with Deere to keep their dealerships

it's because every time they need a part, they have to have the dealer mechanic out to install it. I follow a dairy farmer and it happens to him.

I agree with this mans story John Deere has become useless. My dealer is a thief without customer service. I will never buy from them again.

That’s nightmare scenario. My father was in the wholesale farm machinery implement business for over three decades, starting with Massey when it was just Massey around 1948. He was transferred out to Pacific Northwest to build a dealer network selling Massey’s self leveling hill Combine in 1950. Around 1955 he was on the wrong side of the consolidation of Massey and Ferguson, which became Massey Ferguson.. He went over and applied for a job with JI case company has district sales manager for the Pacific Northwest for the next 20 years in introducing all the new product lines in the 580 construction king backhoe in 1958. Never in my life I’ve heard stuff like this. This type of treatment spreads like wildfire through the farming community. I can’t for the life of me figure out why John Deere is putting in a shaft to the farmers. And for that transmission blowing up, I wonder if it was a ZF transmission built in Germany, it wouldn’t surprise me. My dad later years after they, JI case closed the branch office in the city we lived, went to work for a small company that imported tractors from Italy. There were ups and downs with that, but the one thing we did have and I worked as a mechanic form in my young years was parts inventory. What’s the parts we had on hand and others we could get within three days and this is back in the 70s. We did really well or I should say my dad did really well because of the tractor shortage around 1974. And not having a PTO shaft on hand, come on. No doubt the treatment he got from the John Deere dealer there at the end will ripple through the farming community. I don’t know what the CEO of John Deere‘s thinking, either President Trump‘s, but it ends with them when they were gonna move production down to Mexico. Yeah, looks like John Deere‘s treating their customers bad and also their employees in the Midwest to build this stuff, I don’t know where this is all going to end. It’s not looking very good.
