The problem stems from basing your self worth on external, uncontrollable factors like “how others see you” and “do other people like me?” You can’t control how others see you, so be the real you and love it.

glenn gould is awesome! he plays invention 13 like no one else! and his piano has a crazy broken note that he likes. everyone else is like "why dont you fix that note", but glenn likes it so he keeps it that way. crazy analogy that comes full circle here!
