@crmnallyobsessed: A Detroit woman seems to have wrecked her own case after a judge caught her driving in the middle of her court session. Kimberly Carroll was in court after LVNV Funding claimed they were defaulting her over $1,921.85. The court session was held over Zoom, and Carroll joined the call from her cell phone. When Judge Michael K. McNally noticed Carroll was driving her car during the session, he stated that it wasn’t allowed. Carroll claimed multiple times that she wasn’t driving, despite her sitting on the left side of the vehicle. When McNally asked her to show the driver of the vehicle, Carroll paused and slowly exited her vehicle. McNally berated Carroll for lying and ended the hearing, saying he will enter the default judgment. McNally then asked his clerk to write down that Carroll "was not available at the time and then was driving a car and telling the court she was not." #caughtoncamera #movingviolation

This is a miss use of our judicial system. What she did was wrong. But it was a contempt charge. He does not get to say she was not there and rule as if she was not because he’s offended that she lied to him. His offense does not give him the right to rule in default!!!!
