My psychology professor always said to read behind the headlines, now it's beyond the AI search results. You need to see how many people were in the study, what was the control, who funded it...

And Pilot studies... initially conducted on new research to see if can be done... doesn't have statistical significance and can't be extrapolated across society. There are so many nuances people don't understand, but choose to believe what they feel.

in my opinion AI is a great too for knowledge. It's in my experience fairly good at telling you limitations. I do think people need to be taught critical thinking from a young age though.

It’s scary how some people have been so easily influenced by anti science rhetoric. I know it was prevalent before Covid but it definitely intensified the years following Covid. Everyone thinks they know better

I agree, but there’s always a time and place for studies. Doctors and “scientists” that base all their opinions solely on the newest RCT, and those on the other end who reject studies all together are both inherently pseudoscientists. A balance of both rationalism and empiricism is needed. The idea that you can only follow what the latest data may suggest completely defeats the point of critical thinking and coming to rational inferences, even if it clashes with the current mainstream health consensus
