@leahshomestead: Lately I’ve been doing a lot more reading and researching about our food, and I keep hearing people talk about new ingredients showing up on meat labels that most of us have never paid attention to before. One that really caught my attention was the term cell-cultured. It sounds harmless… but when you look into what it means, it makes you stop and think about how food is changing. This is one of the reasons we started raising meat rabbits on our homestead. Not because we’re trying to be extreme… but because we like knowing where our food comes from and what our family is eating. The more I learn about how food is being made today, the more thankful I am for animals in the barn and meat in the freezer. Have you heard about this yet, or noticed strange ingredients on meat labels? #meatrabbits #homesteadlife #growyourownfood #foodlabels #selfsufficient

Something to remember you don't HAVE to have a large variety of meat. People used to live on just what they were able to raise. I was raised on pork

This is why I want to become self sufficient. But even if I can’t I’m going to start ordering my meat from local farmers as well. I’m about to have the space to do it all just not outdoors unfortunately

“Bioengineered food ingredients” on labels. It’s so hard to find food in stores that doesn’t have this on the label. 🫤

I buy straight from the local butcher. We eat our chicken’s eggs but, we can’t bring ourselves to butcher them. They all have names. Haha!

Our naturally home grown well loved rabbits taste better than any "meat" you can get at the store.

i mean just think about it, what a better way to reduce animal suffering and cruelty than not having a live animal to begin with, you may have the space, time and resources for humanely raised meat however most people don't, at the end of the day once it's in your stomach your body won't care or be able to tell a difference if the meat is basically the same just without having a soul, plus once this technology is optimized emissions from meat can be reduced and land can be freed for ecosystem restoration ✌🏻

Stop eating corporate food that is controlled by people that don’t care about you. To make you sick and keep their RX companies booming. Keep it up!!! Great information!
